About Sam Gets Happy!
Sam Gets Happy! is a story about six-year old Sam who has a black cloud following him everywhere he goes. He's sad and having a difficult time coping. One day he reaches his breaking point and cries out for help. In comes Bruno - Sam's guardian angel. Bruno teaches Sam how to get happy again by being grateful for the little things in life, like feeling the warm sun on your cheek, watching the butterflies and listening to the birds sing. Bruno also teaches Sam the Good Morning song which helps Sam to be happy for all that he has in his life!
In this book, Wanda creatively introduces two concepts to children: the law of attraction and guardian angels.
Wanda explains why she writes about the law of attraction for children: “Thanks to movies such as The Secret, the law of attraction has become mainstream. It really works so why not introduce it to children now so they can begin harnessing the powerful effects of it?"
We all have guardian angels assigned to us at birth - actually most of us have two or more! But, did you know that these heavenly beings are prevented from helping or intervening in our lives unless we give them permission? The only exception is if our lives are in mortal danger before our time.
Wanda explains more about guardian angels: “I was surprised by how many of my clients didn’t know they had guardian angels...some assumed you needed to belong to an organized religion in order to have an angel assigned to you, others assumed they were not worthy of having an angel by their side. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is assigned at least one - often two or more - angels at birth and these angels are with you until your time on earth is completed. One interesting thing to note, however, is that these angels are here to help us, but, because of free-will, they are not able to help without our permission. We need to say “Help!” or “Angels, please help me” or even just think: “I need help!” and they’ll be there.
I love seeing the light of hope in my clients’ eyes when they realize they have an angel and that angel will help them however they can. I often hear: “If only I knew this before...” I’d like everyone to know they have angels who love them unconditionally and they are here to help them with their daily tasks and my hope is this book will accomplish that, starting with the young!”

The Good Morning Song:
When I first started out writing this book, I had Bruno show Sam the way to happiness by using positive affirmations and being grateful for all that he has, starting with the small things like: I’m grateful for my bed, I’m grateful for my pillow, my blanket, the sun in the sky, the birds flying by and so on. Then I heard the Good Morning Song and, well, the rest - as they say - was history!
The Good Morning Song was written by Mickey Spain and recorded by the Mickey Spain Musical Jamboree. It’s a fun, uplifting children’s folk song that will have young and old tapping their toes as they get up each morning.
I truly believe being grateful for things in our lives are catalysts for achieving happiness and joy. Singing is such a joyous way of expressing yourself and singing your gratitude list everyday is a sure way to achieve that state of happiness and joy much quicker!
