Write for Follow the Light

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Follow the Light! We’re always honoured to receive heartfelt stories, reflections, and wisdom from writers and creators who feel called to share their voice.

Follow the Light welcomes Spirit-led writing that uplifts, inspires, and gently guides readers home to themselves. While each issue carries its own seasonal energy, we’re open to a wide range of themes connected to the soul’s journey.

Some of the themes we’re especially drawn to include:

  • Community and connection

  • Creative expression

  • Harnessing natural talents

  • Healing and wellness (tips or personal stories)

  • Interviews with practitioners, teachers, healers, or inspirational figures

  • Joyful living (strategies, habits, or reflections)

  • Mindfulness and meditation

  • Nature and the environment

  • Personal transformation journeys

  • Spiritual guidance

These themes are not strict requirements — simply signposts. If you feel called to write something outside this list, please trust that nudge. Those are often the most powerful pieces of all.

We are currently accepting submissions for upcoming issues. To be considered for a specific issue, please aim to submit by:

  • Spring Issue (Vernal Equinox): February 14

  • Summer Issue (Solstice): May 15

  • Autumn Issue (Fall Equinox): August 15

  • Winter Issue (Solstice): November 14

Submission Guidelines

  • Aim for a word count of 750–1500 words, though longer features and interviews are welcome

  • Please proofread to ensure clarity and flow

  • Optional: include photos and captions if they accompany your piece

  • Optional: include a headshot and short bio so readers can get to know the heart behind your words

When you’re ready, you can send your submission as a Word document or Google Doc to: followthelightmagazine@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to chat through an idea, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for sharing your light with us. We can’t wait to see what flows through you.
